Clinical cases
Individual cases from the institute's practice: the picture before the consultation, what the programme consisted of and what changed over the follow-up period.
Every case is written up from the patient's medical records and the treating team's observations. Names, dates and anything that could identify a person are withheld. No figure appears that is not in the medical documentation. The course of the disease and the response to treatment differ from patient to patient.

Cerebellar syndromes and ataxias
Stabilisation and functional improvement in a progressive cerebellar syndrome
stabilisation and an end to the previous progression, less incoordination and dizziness, partial compensation of the orthostatic hypotension, slight improvement in speech

-

Motor neurone disease (ALS)
Stabilisation and functional improvement in ALS
the previous clinical progression stopped, improved swallowing, partial increase in strength in the left limbs, partial compensation of the respiratory impairment and fewer hours of nocturnal non-invasive ventilation needed

Parkinson's disease
Stabilisation and restored functional independence in a parkinsonian syndrome
stabilisation and an end to the previous deterioration, greater endurance, steadily improving walking to the point of giving up the stick, less stiffness, improved cognitive function and communication with the family
Clinical case 15 →
-

Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Stabilisation of secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and improved motor function
