Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
This policy explains how Caplan Regenerative Institute (“Caplan”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you contact us or use this website. We process data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian law.
Who we are
Caplan Regenerative Institute operates a clinic at Királyfürdő utca 4, 1027 Budapest, Hungary, and a cell laboratory. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, write to info@caplaninstitute.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us through the consultation form or by email — your name, email address, phone number, and the diagnosis and medical details you choose to share so we can review your case.
- Health data. Details about your condition are a special category of data. We process them only with your explicit consent, to assess whether we can help you.
- Technical data collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and pages viewed, through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a medical review — on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, for health data, your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
- To arrange treatment, travel and follow-up if you decide to proceed — to take steps at your request and perform our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who sees your data
Your information is seen only by our medical and coordination team, and by service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, such as website hosting and email. We never sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it — to handle your enquiry and, where relevant, your care — and for any period the law requires us to retain medical records. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its use, request portability, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Hungary, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH). To exercise any right, email info@caplaninstitute.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it last changed.
